Corporate & Business
Chinafacture
A manufacturing partner that finds Chinese factories and manages production, from prototypes and PCBs to assembly and logistics.
About the project
China Facture helps businesses manufacture their products in China. It finds suitable factories and suppliers and handles the manufacturing process and logistics — from prototypes and PCBs to moulding, certification and assembly.
The challenge
China Facture helps businesses turn an idea into a mass-produced product in China. It is not a factory, it finds the right factories and suppliers and manages everything in between. For a founder with a prototype and no contacts in Shenzhen, that process is opaque and intimidating.
The site had to make a complex, multi-stage service feel manageable, and show it could serve both first-time founders and companies that only need one part of the process.
The solution
I built the site in PHP on the CodeIgniter framework with a Bootstrap front end. The headline, transforming your ideas into real products, is followed by the company's positioning in its own words: we are not a factory, but we will find the best for you.
The heart of the page is a nine-stage process, from fine-tuning the idea, sourcing and prototyping to moulding, assembly, certification and shipping to your office, each with the specific support provided. It turns an overwhelming journey into a sequence of clear steps.
Separate sections speak to incubators and angel investors, and to companies that only need prototypes or certification, and a featured work section shows real projects.
