About the project

Penguin Swimming Pools & Spas has a 50-year track record of designing, building, installing and maintaining residential indoor and outdoor pools and spas in the UK. The site showcases its work and invites enquiries.

The challenge

Penguin Swimming Pools & Spas has designed, built and maintained pools and spas in the UK for 50 years. Its clients commission bespoke, high-value projects, so the website had to feel as considered as the pools themselves and give people the confidence to start a conversation.

The business also covers several distinct markets, domestic pools, commercial pools and spas, and wellness and hydrotherapy, each with a different buyer and a different set of questions.

The solution

The site is built on WordPress using the Genesis framework with a custom child theme, and Beaver Builder for the page layouts. The homepage leads with experience, a 50-year track record, and sets out why clients choose Penguin: bespoke design, attention to the surrounding architecture, and accredited standards.

Domestic, commercial and wellness work each get their own section, so a homeowner and a hotel operator can each find what applies to them. A detailed Gravity Forms enquiry form records how visitors heard about the company, feeding the marketing, and Stripe is available for payments.

Image optimisation with Smush Pro keeps a photo-heavy site quick, and the Facebook pixel supports advertising campaigns.
