About the project

Straight Tool Inc. is a design and manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ontario. The site presents its capabilities: CNC turning and milling, production stamping, wire EDM, turnkey assembly equipment and tool room services.

The challenge

Straight Line Tool is a design and manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ontario, established in 2000, offering everything from multi-axis CNC milling and wire EDM to production stamping and turnkey assembly equipment. Its buyers are engineers and purchasing managers who want to confirm capability quickly.

The range is broad, from small farm equipment repairs to full production runs, and the site had to present it clearly enough that a buyer could tell in a minute whether the shop could handle their job.

The solution

I built the site on ASP.NET, hosted on Windows Server with IIS, with a Bootstrap front end. The navigation is organised the way buyers search: services and products, equipment, and design and CNC programming.

The homepage leads with the headline capabilities, production stamping and tool room services, then lists the full machine range in plain terms: multi-axis CNC milling, CNC turning, wire EDM, surface grinding, stamping, welding and tool maintenance. A short mission statement on speed, precision and quality and the address and sales line close the page, with AOS animation adding a little movement as visitors scroll.
