SGOCheck is an eligibility tool for the US federal Scholarship Tax Credit (Section 25F). Users enter their 2025 tax information to estimate whether they may be able to use the credit; it's positioned as an educational planning tool.

The new federal Scholarship Tax Credit under Section 25F gives families and donors a 100% credit for contributions to Scholarship Granting Organizations, but it is new, it is nonrefundable, and it depends on state participation and on guidance from the Treasury that has not been finalised. Most people have no idea whether it applies to them.

Derech Choice Network wanted a simple way for households to find out, without giving tax advice and without overstating what anyone can know before the rules are final.

I built SGOCheck as a fast, single-page React application. Visitors enter a few figures from their 2025 tax information and get an estimate of whether they may be able to use the credit, and they can run it again to compare scenarios such as adding a dependent or changes in other credits.

Around the calculator, the page explains the credit in plain language: what a 100% nonrefundable credit means, who is likely to benefit, the implementation status, documentation requirements and a full FAQ. Clear disclaimers make it obvious this is an educational planning tool, not advice.

The app is built with Vite and served behind Cloudflare, so it loads quickly and holds up well if interest spikes around tax season.
